MISSION

Resolved, to equip students with Biblical Truth by training in academic excellence to prepare future generations to live for Christ.

TRUTH

Resolved, to teach the Truth of the Word of God trusting its sufficiency to impact the hearts of our parents and students.

RESOLVED

Resolved, to prepare our students for a pagan culture, which has no regard for the things of God.

EXCELLENCE

Resolved, to train our students in excellence in order to prepare them to teach, lead, read, guide, direct, preach and live according to the Truth of the Word of God.

STEWARDSHIP

Resolved, to apply all that we are teaching into the lives of our students through apprenticeships.

GLORIFY

Resolved, to Glorify God in all that we do, say and think.

What do we believe?

We hold to the 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith. Specifically, we believe that Justification is found in Scripture Alone by Grace Alone through Faith Alone in Christ Alone for the glory of God Alone.

The Gospel Changes Everything

Our desire to pursue academic excellence is not an attempt to meet worldly standards. To be excellent in all things derives from the transformative power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Just as the Puritans understood, the Gospel should impact every facet of the life of a Christian. The Holy Spirit works in and through the life of a believer and influences the desire to represent Christ in a manner that is worthy of the Gospel. This change in mentality includes a desire to pursue academic excellence for the Glory of God.

RESOLUTION ONE:
I WILL LIVE FOR GOD

RESOLUTION TWO:
IF NO ONE ELSE DOES, I STILL WILL.

~ JONATHAN EDWARDS

THE HOME

Christian households have the God-given responsibility to raise their children in the admonition of the Lord. This up-bringing includes the child's spiritual foundation, social development, educational training and practical application in order to generate well-rounded citizens for society.

THE CHURCH

The responsibility of the church is to equip and train the parents in such a way that allows the home to thrive in Biblical training and educational excellence. The church also provides resources to make readily available to the parents within the local church. These resources can be anything from books, facilities, study materials or even educators.

THE SCHOOL

The school is a resource, provided by the church, to come alongside the home in its attempt to raise each child to glorify God in its pursuit of excellence. The primary responsibility of the school is to educate each student through a Biblical worldview with the purpose of developing the mind, will and emotions to glorify God and enjoy Him forever.

CLASSICAL CHRISTIAN EDUCATION

Noah Webster defines "education" as: "The bringing up, as of a child; instruction; formation of manners. Education comprehends all that series of instruction and discipline which is intended to enlighten the understanding, correct the temper, and dorm the manners and habits of youth, and fit them for usefulness in their future stations. To give children a good education in manners arts and science, is important; to give them a religious education is indispensable; and an immense responsibility rests on parents and guardians who neglect these duties."

Using a hybrid model and implementing a classical form of education, Resolved Academy seeks to be distinctively Biblical in all facets of ministry. By bringing back the classic philosophical strategy of educating the entirety of each student, which trained brilliant men such as Jonathan Edwards and Noah Webster, Resolved Academy will prepare each individual to live for Christ.

PHILOSOPHY OF EDUCATION

  2. Renewing the mind to regulate conscience is the purpose of education.
  3. Biblical self-government is the result of education.
  4. The Gospel is the primary focus of all education.
  5. Glorifying God is the goal of education.

METHODOLOGY OF EDUCATION

  2. Responsible exploration expands the horizon of learning.
  3. Engaging in apprenticeships solidifies learning.

The Resolved Advantage

What makes us unique?

Theologically Pure

The term "Christian" becomes more liberal with each passing year. Our passion is to be theologically pure in the teaching of the Word of God. This means we must avoid how the culture has redefined "Christianity," and instead, "set our minds on the things that are above."

Excellence in the Classroom

Our faculty and staff will be the highest-level of educators. We will be rigorous in our hiring process to ensure the very best educators for our students. We will also provide to our educators continuous training to ensure the standard of education never ceases. This will include the necessity of being Biblically sound and Doctrinally precise in all facets of education.

Covenantal

We believe that education falls into the responsibility of "raising our children in the admonition of the Lord." Therefore, the education of all the children within the covenant local body of believers should be partnered together with each family. This establishes an enhanced environment of discipleship for the students.

Apprenticeship Opportunities

The philosophy of our education is to train and equip the entire student in all facets of education. This includes the preparation necessary for the student to be able to enter society ready to be successful in his teenage years.

Innovative Education

Apprenticeship Programs

The 5-day model of schooling, which includes students sitting at their desks for eight hours each day, has been unsuccessful in its attempt to improve the overall standard of academic levels in comparison to proceeding centuries.  Resolved Academy seeks to bring back the Puritan model of education, which produced some of the greatest minds in the history of our world. By combining the highest level of academia with real-life experience of hands-on training through apprenticeships, we will produce a group of students equipped to make an immediate impact on society for the Glory of God.

Understanding Education

So many 23-year-olds graduate with an MBA to immediately ask the question, "Now what?" This is a travesty in today's society. Our desire is to help each student understand their God-given talents while in their mid-teens.

Developing Real Skills

By providing opportunities for hands-on skill development starting at the age of 8-years-old, each student will begin to understand what they love to do, how God has gifted them, and where they can be most prosperous.

Preparation for Life

We have made partnerships with local business owners, tradesmen, civil authorities and clergymen, who have agreed to partner with our school in providing apprenticeship programs to our students throughout their entire educational experience.
